Castle Creek Christian Academy is founded by experienced Christian educators who understand education, curriculum, teamwork, and administration. Most importantly, they’ve built a center that reflects the type of environment that they would want for their own children. Castle Creek and the children within are blessed to have a phenominal group of teachers who are proven to lead a team to much success.
Tammy has 36 years of experience in the early childhood field. Along with her administrative experience, Tammy has experience working directly in the classroom. She has worked with all ages, including newborns through 5th grade. She aspires to work at a Christian school because it aligns with her personal beliefs and values. She believes that education is not just about academics but also about instilling morals, ethics, and faith in students.
Tracy has been working in childcare for 25 years and absolutely loves it! She has years of experience working one-on-one with toddlers and preschoolers in the classroom. She came to work at Castle Creek when it opened in August of 2010. She attended Leary Technical where she earned her CDA in Child Development. She feels as a parent, you lay the foundation for your child’s faith at an early age. You take them to church, read them Bible stories, and teach them how to pray. Knowing that your child is in a place that shares your values will give you peace of mind.
Shea has been with Castle Creek for seven years, working with the preschoolers and in the office. Teaching children has always been a passion of hers. Teaching has brought Shea much confidence, and now she is a role model for these young minds. She feels working in a Christian school provides an opportunity to integrate her faith into her career.
Our art director and toddler instructor is Alissa. She is passionate about the arts and enjoys witnessing a child's joy upon finishing a piece of art. She has over 16 years of experience working with children in children's ministry and as a Girl Scout leader. She feels it’s important to her that the children feel safe and cared for while in her care.
Before relocating to Texas in 2015, Karen operated her own licensed daycare. She enjoys assisting kids in developing and learning. According to her, it is crucial to teach kids about Jesus. She is a mother of eight children herself.
Our assistant infant teacher is Soraya. She is the mother of three lovely daughters. She spent four years teaching special education and 10 years working with after-school care in public schools. She truly enjoys spending time with your children one-on-one and loves to babysit in her spare time.
Viviana has several years of experience in childcare and enjoys working with children of all ages. She strives to be a positive role model for them at all times. Her wish is to assist them in growing through love and appropriate guidance.
Taylor worked at her aunt's daycare for many years. She had a fantastic time there, and it has inspired her to continue working with youngsters. She is happy to be here at Castle Creek!
Valarie has 25 years of experience in early childhood care. She loves teaching children and always looks forward to seeing the progress they make throughout the year. Valarie feels that encouragement and praise are very important during the informative years. She feels blessed to be a part of the Castle Creek family.
Zion is one of the Preschool One teachers. She received a degree in Human Services from Stephen F. Austin State University. She believes that everybody can be taught to accomplish anything. Simply explain it to them in a way they can understand.
Karen has been teaching for 16 years. She loves working with children and finds it a privilege to assist in the beginning steps of a child's academic, social, and spiritual life. She believes that parents and teachers communicating is a key to a child's success in life.
For ten years, Catherine has volunteered in children's ministry. Her area of interest is art, and she holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Dallas Baptist University. She loves and is passionate about working with children.
Janine holds a degree in early childhood education and has worked with children for 28 years. She thinks kids need a secure environment where they may play and learn. Her responsibility is to provide age-appropriate, safe instruction and learning opportunities. Every child is different and needs a nurturing environment in which to develop.
Brett is our after-school teacher. He has six years of experience as a substitute teacher and feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with children. Brett believes that the best way to teach and train a child is to lead by example.
Mireya is originally from Guatemala. She speaks fluent English and, of course, Spanish. She has worked in the cooking industry for 23 years, all primarily in childcare. Mireya loves children and has a servant's heart! She has worked with several of her coworkers for upwards of 15 years.
Amber wants to make sure that every student she teaches feels welcomed and cared for at school and that she helps them get ready for their journey through life.
